Under the chairmanship of Lion Brendan McDermott, we organise a group of Galway Citizens in undertaking a sponsored slim-in for charity.

The  Launch & Weigh In took place at Born Cafe Newtownsmyth at  6pm on Monday 15th February with the Weigh Out schedule to take place at the same venue on Wednesday 31st March also 6pm. We thank John Curley & his staff at Born for facilitating this.

To date we have a number of participants committed to support us including Galway's Lord Mayor Councillor Declan McDonnell & Councillor Brian Walsh.

Proceeds from the Slimin will go towards the cost of this years Seniors' Holiday in Trabolgan in June.
